Fries Bar Glass Racks Have Many Benefits

In the catering industry there is a lot of glassware used – especially in pubs and bars, but also in restaurants, cafes, hotels, and any other venue that has a bar, such as a theatre, private men’s club, and so on. Unfortunately, one thing that all glassware has in common is that it is breakable – some more so than others. For instance, the traditional dimpled pint and half pint beer mugs are fairly solid, and can stand a bit of rough handling, but you won’t get away with that with a champagne flute.

Furthermore, in the outside catering industry all this glassware has to be transported from one venue to another and it has to arrive in one piece. This is why the Fries Rack System provides a bar glass rack that can be used for both washing and transporting glassware.

There Is No Point In Buying Cheap Storage Boxes

If you are looking for storage boxes for your business – and most businesses do – there is no point in buying cheap ones. They are not going to last. Storage boxes get thrown about, stored on top of one another, filled with all sorts of things such as motor parts which may be oily and greasy, and a whole lot more things can happen to them as well. The answer is that you should look for extra strong storage boxes.

You can buy extra strong storage boxes that are built to take punishment and still be useable years down the line. These boxes are made of a rigid plastic and many of them are available in Euro sizes. That means that they will be compatible with both standard sized Euro pallets and UK pallets which makes it a lot easier to move them about.

In the outside catering industry, storage boxes are constantly being transported to a venue, the contents taken out and used, then put back and taken back to the depot. In fact, they spend most of their lives being shunted about from one place to another. If you are moving a box full of cutlery it is going to be heavy, so it has to withstand the weight of a lot of cutlery and still keep smiling.

Dinner plates can be heavy as well, and of course they need to be protected from damage which is another reason for using extra strong storage boxes.

Then there is glassware. You need to be able to transport your glassware between venues secure in the knowledge that it won’t get damaged: you can’t repair broken glassware. Fortunately, you can get inserts for these strong storage boxes in a wide variety of designs and sizes so that whatever type of glasses you are transporting, each one will be safe in its’ own separate compartment.

For breakable items such as dinnerware and glassware it is best to use storage boxes with lids. This will keep everything safe and secure when you stack the boxes one on top of another.

Everything You Need To Know About Stackable Storage Containers

Storage and transport of items that you use regularly can save a considerable amount of storage space and transport space if they are kept in stackable storage containers. Many storage containers today are manufactured in Euro size which is 600mm x 400mm. These fit snugly on both Euro and UK pallets, as well as wheeled dollies, conveyors, and shelving.

The standard Euro size stackable storage containers fit in five columns on a UK pallet of 1200mm x 1000mm and in four columns on the Euro pallet which is 1200mm x 800mm. Many manufacturers also produce storage containers in a half Euro size of 400mm x 300mm, and it is even possible to get quarter size containers of 300mm x 200mm. In addition, some manufacturers also make containers in a size of 800mm x 600mm.

The Fries Conveyor Rack System

The Fries Rack System contains a large number of conveyor racks for glassware which come with a number of different choices. The Clixrack 500 glass rack is designed with a series of Clix extenders so that the user can extend the height of the rack to fit different glass heights without having to use different racks for them. This saves a lot of expense that would otherwise go on buying different size conveyor racks and of course it saves on storage space as well.

The Fries Clixracks can be adjusted to fit glasses from 73mm in height up to 260mm and no tools are needed to adjust them. The open rack design ensures that the water can easily reach all parts of the glasses and that they can dry fully as well. All of the glasses are completely protected within the rack and the racks can easily be stacked to save on transport and storage space. In addition, at the customer’s request, the racks can be fitted with tilting clips which allows the water to drain fully from the bottom of each glass.

The Fries conveyor racks are also available in seven different colours so that it is easy to place the right glasses in the right racks and also easy to identify which glasses are in each rack when needing to be selected from storage for use. Another method of identification is plastic coding clips in the same colours which can be clipped on to the racks. In addition, you can design and label the racks by hot foil embossing lettering or your company logo.

The design of the racks uses patented washing technology which ensures that the water is evenly targeted at the problem areas which are the rims of the glasses and those in the first and last rows. In addition, the Fries rack system can be fitted with different inserts to hold anywhere between 16 glasses and 44 glasses depending on the glass width.

The racks have a duplex bottom with the upper one holding the glasses, and the lower one ensuring there is no sagging and no damage to the glasses from transport hooks.

Attached Lid Containers Have A Number Of Benefits

When you are moving goods about, you need something in which to put them. If you are a manufacturer and make small products the size of, say, a bar of soap – or maybe they even ARE bars of soap – you can’t move them about one at a time. It would not be an efficient use of time.

Of course, some businesses use one-time containers such as cardboard boxes for their products, but these cannot be stacked very high because they will obviously collapse if too much weight is put on them. It rather depends on the contents as to how high you can stack them. Certainly, a lot of food items such as tinned foods are transported to supermarkets and convenience stores in cardboard which then goes to waste for recycling.

What Are Euro Containers?

Euro containers are manufactured to a standard Euro size of base of 600mm x 400mm which means that they stack in four columns on a Euro pallet of 1200mm x 800mm, and in five columns on a UK pallet of 1200mm x 1000mm. Some manufacturers of crates and boxes also make them in 400mm x 300mm and a smaller size of 300mm x 200mm and an extra large size of 800mm x 600mm.

You can use Euro containers of different base dimensions stacking on top of other containers. So for instance, you could stack 600mm x 400mm containers 2-up, side by side, on 800mm x 600mm containers, and you can stack 400mm x 300mm containers 2-up on top of 600mm x 400mm containers. Euro stacking containers also have straight sides, unlike nesting containers, so they can hold more product.

Because of the straight sides, these containers are ideally suited for carrying food products, such as wet fish from a fishing boat to the fishmongers or to a food processing unit. The solid base and sides will retain any fluids, and the containers are very easy to clean.

Euro containers are also suitable for most manufacturing and service industries. The larger containers are great for handling products, while the smaller sizes can be used to carry parts and small fixings. These containers are available with both solid and ventilated sides, and the ones that are ventilated are also suitable for certain food applications as they will chill faster when put into a fridge or freezer and reach the desired temperature more quickly. With the ventilated sides, users can easily spot whether the container has any contents or is empty. Since there is less material used in ventilated containers, they actually help to reduce the carbon footprint because vehicles transporting them will use less fuel.

Euro stacking containers are often used to transport high value items as they can be supplied with lids and with a variety of locking devices. They can also be moved about on wheeled dollies built to handle crates of the Euro size.
